VLSI is a record label and blog managed by Dom and Andy from Echaskech. The name is homage to a classic rave track by Epoch 90 that we loved back in the day, and also a nod to Very Large Scale Integration where thousands of transistors were combined into a single chip, a process beginning in the 1970s and eventually enabling us and many others to make computer based music.
The label is currently a vehicle for new Echaskech releases but we are also searching out new music to release and are keen to receive demos.
We are not particularly limited by genre although we have a preference for ambient, techno, breaks, drum and bass, electronica and experimental. Check the VLSI Blog for sounds we're currently loving. If you are making music - we'd love to hear from you!
